We listen, we have been listening and now we have brought out the saddle that should answer a lot of prayers. We started by making the nose width 38 mm wide and we made the outsides of that nose flat and smooth. Your legs will glide effortlessly over the sides, your upper Hamstrings won't be interfered with either, it's a narrow saddle that flows out wider in the rear to give a great seating area. This is not a one position only saddle, you can ride far forward or straight in the middle, a lot of great places to increase power to win those races. We listened some more, And we made this saddle 38 mm tall with more padding, a touch softer to help with those long rides and to help decrease those saddle sores. If you currently ride in the middle or towards the back of saddles you will see how this saddle cradles you, helping to support your core, these features make this a very universal product. Whether you are road racing or heading out for a triathlon, whether you ride very aggressive aerobars or a more conservative road bars, this will give you comfort.

Rear mount hydration system that is compatible with select JCOB saddles*.

This system will mount either one or two bottle cages and the rear bracket also makes a great transition rack mount and has convenient slots for holding your spare kit.

This bracket completely clears up the bottom side of the saddle making it cleaner for better airflow under the rider while allowing for much easier seat adjustments on the bike.

The new Carbon Lite model, replacing the Carbon One, gets a slightly different look but keeps the comfort that people look for in a lightweight saddle. Here at Speed & Comfort, we wanted to showcase our basic Road saddle designs and what better way to show you to believe in the shapes than by making a bare Carbon fiber saddle. Bare carbon relies on the contours and the engineering to give the rider comfort and performance. We went with a 7X9mm seat rail to give added durability and to be able to offer a slightly longer range of saddle positions. We sacrificed going for “superlight” weight and added 15 grams extra so we could have a contoured side lip. With this change, the Carbon edge won’t cut through your cycling shorts, a common issue on most super-light models. We gave it a molded relief channel for longer distance comfort and then added some retention slots to help hold the rider in place better, all of these things add up to a surprisingly comfortable saddle. The Carbon Lite is 151mm wide for long ride comfort but is limited to a maximum rider weight of 180lbs. It's light, it’s fast, and it’s comfortable, this is not the best choice for a novice rider but if you put miles on your bike and are looking to save every ounce of weight, this is your saddle.

The new Pro SR is a redesign of the classic San Remo. This saddle has so many special, small features that it is difficult to zero in on just one thing. The Classic shape overall makes the saddle look familiar. The classic shape was arrived at by thousands of miles of riding by Men that just love cycling, they wanted performance but demanded comfort and we have delivered these to the rider.  At 151mm wide, the Pro SR delivers a great sitting area and the deep pressure relief center helps eliminate crotch hotspots while using a wind tunnel designed to pull air across your bottom side. And this is not just some hardcore road racing saddle, there is a big resurgence in the triathlon ranks for using a properly designed Classic saddle. With the long, narrow nose section, the riders can move over a long range to find that extra performance, there is also a major weight savings and it offers you a freedom in positioning that most Tri specific saddles can’t match.  We are a leader in saddle design and we were the first with our narrow Delta series of saddles, we designed the extremely popular Type 5  saddles and have preached about “short nose” saddles but look at the bike racks at your next race, Men and Women are returning to these properly designed traditional saddles for all distances of races, don’t miss out on the opportunity for great comfort.

Type “T” may seem like an odd name, but it truly represents the essence of this saddle. This saddle is the new 2019 model of the Tenace saddle. We designed this saddle specifically for road riders with wider sit bone (ischial tuberosity), taking into account several common physical complaints and addressing those with a unique design. This saddle is completely different than our narrower Delta series saddles. The Type T has a rear width of 155mm, plenty of room for riders that sit more upright, combined with a very unique nose shape. We learned that a major problem area of most Women’s saddles are that the noses are too short and taper very slowly to the front, our saddle has the narrowest nose of any relief channel saddle but as a feature, it’s narrower at the rear of the nose section  than it is at the front end. This gives the saddle a very defined “T” shape, the purpose is to give those upper thighs a lot of extra room, so they don’t force the rider out on the end of the seat with every pedal stroke. It has been very successful so far and is great for both Road and Tri, for those long Tour rides it is an excellent choice.

** John's description:  "I designed this particular model for Women riders that use a Road bike with clip on aero bars. The saddle has a 155mm rear width with a rounded top surface for a larger surface contact area, this usually works well for newer riders that do not use an aggressive aero position. One special feature is that the Nose area get’s narrower back away from the seat nose, this is so a rider with thicker upper thighs will have better clearance and help with chaffing. The nose width is fairly wide at 50mm but has a deep trough area so the riders soft tissue has better relief. The saddle was designed to actually be installed slightly nose high to help roll weight off the front and onto the sitbone areas, this also builds core support which will take pressure off of the riders hands / neck and shoulders.  While this saddle does work on a regular Tri bike with aero bars that are fairly level with the saddle, it seems more successful on the Road/Gravel type bikes. This saddle is also not “super soft”, I have found that if a rider goes further than about 10 mi. on training rides, the soft saddles seem to cause a lot of rider core movement from lack of support or the rider easily starts riding crooked on the seat caused by leg length differences etc."

A new name, and a new look for a saddle that has been a go-to choice for rider comfort for almost 25 years. The Delta V model will be replacing our V-flow model. The thousands of riders on these saddles have always proven that it is a great choice for anything from entry level comfort to Ironman and longer events. We have carefully made a few improvements, namely modifying the cover material and the foam density but the original, all important, “narrow” 130mm design is still there, this key element gives the great comfort for both Men and Women. As a special bonus, we added the rear hydration mounts to the Delta V, making it very easy to add extra hydration bottles to your bike. This saddle is generally best when used on a Road bike or a Tri bike that does not have an aggressive bar drop, as it cradles the rider and should be mounted on the bike slightly nose high. Women find this saddle especially comfortable. If you had to gamble on only one saddle to be comfortable, this is it.

A comprehensive redesign of one of the all-time favorites in the cycling industry, the Plus 2. The new Delta P will help you put in those long miles on the bike. This saddle was originally a spin-off of the “V” series, it has a cut down nose section specifically for the Male riders and the narrow 130mm rear width that solves upper hamstring interference issues, especially for larger riders. It is a favorite of both Men and Women and can easily be used on bikes with more aggressive bar drops on both Road and Tri bikes. We have added our rear hydration mounts to the saddle for ease of adding more fluids to your bike. This is a great choice for larger male riders because of the narrow design, since it won’t chafe those inner thighs the way wider saddles do.  Don’t be afraid of the narrower rear area, thousands of riders have used this saddle for long tours and long triathlons and have said it is a great road bike saddle for touring or racing. A high majority of Women find this saddle more comfortable than the trendy “short nose” saddles, the cutout of this saddle is very easy on the soft bits for Women.

The new Delta M is a redesign of the Max, often called the problem solver, that is the reference name of this saddle given by many professional bike fitters. We designed this saddle to offer a deep, wide relief channel for Men and it works very well. Over several years and thousands of miles, we have also learned that it can be a Woman’s savior for soft tissue comfort, as many female body shapes fit this seat very well. We have redesigned this favorite by adding our rear hydration mounts, adjusting the foam density, and smoothed out the stitching. This is a 130mm, narrow design rear saddle that can get you down the road for those long miles.  The fitting of the bike is key to saddle comfort, first and foremost, seat height and bar reach are crucial, and at most bike fitters you will find a Delta M as one of their main choices to solve comfort problems.  The nose of this saddle is 55mm wide, much wider than a standard bike saddle but not so wide as to cause rubbing. The perfect blending of the narrow rear leading into the flared-out nose section gives a great seating area.  This works very well on aggressive tri-aerobar setups and road bikes, so that you can drop down deep and not crush your parts.

The Type R is a redesign of the classic Randee Saddle. The Type R saddle is designed for long hours in the saddle. It was designed for you Randonneuring riders that log a thousand miles over a long weekend. It was also designed for the Police Department bikes that ride in all conditions. This saddle was also designed for riders to be very comfortable on the bike. The Type R has a short nose section to aid with nerve pressure relief, a deep relief channel, and an air directional vane to help direct cooling air toward the rider’s crotch. Designed more for a less aggressive bike setup, the rear is 148mm wide with a long broad curve for easier hip rotation. We found that for the Police officers, their gun belts “hung up” on standard saddles while dismounting, we solved that. And for you Gravel riders, we increased the seat rail height for more clearance.  This seat is the King on those gravel roads giving an added suspension to your bike. If you’re a larger rider, this saddle gives you a lot of room and for riders that have no drop or a +rise setup on the aero bars, this is your seat whether it be for a Sprint or an Ironman, you will like this.

The redesigned Delta S has been a long time favorite for both Road and Triathlon. There seems to be a new trend for the top Pro’s, both Men and Women, to use a standard nose width saddle, the Delta S was designed over 20 years ago and has a perfected shape to give the riders great comfort. We have included several new features like the front gripper to control body motion, our 130mm rear width to eliminate hamstring rubs and an extended rear area for added comfort. We also included our rear hydration mounts for easily adding more hydration to your bike. This saddle has always been amazingly comfortable for men, if you have even a slight hip or leg length difference, this saddle will put you in the center of the bike. Bike trends come and go but at your next event go look at the Pro racks, you’ll be surprised by the number of narrow nosed saddles. We find that for riders at 190lbs.
