Carbon 151 softtop model is a Cobb version original sibling of the Carbon Soft model. We know the words Carbon and Soft aren't typically found in the same sentence, without the word "not" being between them, but we really liked our Carbon Lite saddle, so we wanted to take just a little of the edge off of it. We researched various cover materials and found one that only added 20 grams of weight, while still adding significant cushioning for the shape of this saddle. The Carbon 151 retains the same shape as it’s lightweight brother but gives a measurable increase in eliminating any “hotspots” across the saddle. It is 151mm wide and has a Classic European shape, made for thinner riders that can use an aggressive bar drop to get all that speed. This seat also uses the 7x9mm rails for improved durability and comes with the longer front edge contours, so your cycling shorts do not get cut while riding this saddle. The Carbon 151 also features an improved relief channel in the nose to increase nerve pressure relief, and that alone makes this a standout lightweight saddle.

We listen, we have been listening and now we have brought out the saddle that should answer a lot of prayers. We started by making the nose width 38 mm wide and we made the outsides of that nose flat and smooth. Your legs will glide effortlessly over the sides, your upper Hamstrings won't be interfered with either, it's a narrow saddle that flows out wider in the rear to give a great seating area. This is not a one position only saddle, you can ride far forward or straight in the middle, a lot of great places to increase power to win those races. We listened some more, And we made this saddle 38 mm tall with more padding, a touch softer to help with those long rides and to help decrease those saddle sores. The new Carbon Lite model, replacing the Carbon One, gets a slightly different look but keeps the comfort that people look for in a lightweight saddle. Here at Speed & Comfort, we wanted to showcase our basic Road saddle designs and what better way to show you to believe in the shapes than by making a bare Carbon fiber saddle. Bare carbon relies on the contours and the engineering to give the rider comfort and performance. We went with a 7X9mm seat rail to give added durability and to be able to offer a slightly longer range of saddle positions. We sacrificed going for “superlight” weight and added 15 grams extra so we could have a contoured side lip. With this change, the Carbon edge won’t cut through your cycling shorts, a common issue on most super-light models. We gave it a molded relief channel for longer distance comfort and then added some retention slots to help hold the rider in place better, all of these things add up to a surprisingly comfortable saddle. The Carbon Lite is 151mm wide for long ride comfort but is limited to a maximum rider weight of 180lbs. It's light, it’s fast, and it’s comfortable, this is not the best choice for a novice rider but if you put miles on your bike and are looking to save every ounce of weight, this is your saddle.

Type “T” may seem like an odd name, but it truly represents the essence of this saddle. This saddle is the new 2019 model of the Tenace saddle. We designed this saddle specifically for road riders with wider sit bone (ischial tuberosity), taking into account several common physical complaints and addressing those with a unique design. This saddle is completely different than our narrower Delta series saddles. The Type T has a rear width of 155mm, plenty of room for riders that sit more upright, combined with a very unique nose shape. We learned that a major problem area of most Women’s saddles are that the noses are too short and taper very slowly to the front, our saddle has the narrowest nose of any relief channel saddle but as a feature, it’s narrower at the rear of the nose section than it is at the front end. This gives the saddle a very defined “T” shape, the purpose is to give those upper thighs a lot of extra room, so they don’t force the rider out on the end of the seat with every pedal stroke. It has been very successful so far and is great for both Road and Tri, for those long Tour rides it is an excellent choice.
** John's description: "I designed this particular model for Women riders that use a Road bike with clip on aero bars. The saddle has a 155mm rear width with a rounded top surface for a larger surface contact area, this usually works well for newer riders that do not use an aggressive aero position. One special feature is that the Nose area get’s narrower back away from the seat nose, this is so a rider with thicker upper thighs will have better clearance and help with chaffing. The nose width is fairly wide at 50mm but has a deep trough area so the riders soft tissue has better relief. The saddle was designed to actually be installed slightly nose high to help roll weight off the front and onto the sitbone areas, this also builds core support which will take pressure off of the riders hands / neck and shoulders. While this saddle does work on a regular Tri bike with aero bars that are fairly level with the saddle, it seems more successful on the Road/Gravel type bikes. This saddle is also not “super soft”, I have found that if a rider goes further than about 10 mi. on training rides, the soft saddles seem to cause a lot of rider core movement from lack of support or the rider easily starts riding crooked on the seat caused by leg length differences etc."
